Project Control Tech - to $31 per hour. – Bakersfield

Fast paced Project Management company dealing in oil and gas expansion is looking for an excellent candidate to fill their Project Control Technician role. The general role of the Project Controls Technician is to assist the Project Controls Specialist with the implementation and execution of project control processes.

The technician will work with various managers, engineers, and technical staff of the client under the general direction of one or more of the controls specialists. The technician may be required to make visits to the clients field locations, but will work mainly out of the local office in Central Bakersfield.

Specific duties will include:
Scope Tracking maintaining scope change order documentation.
Schedule Tracking help maintain schedules to reflect revised execution plans.
Cost Tracking maintain project cost report. Solicit and compile monetary commitment and expenditure data.
Progress / Performance Generate project performance report charts & graphs.
Tools and Processes Assist in the development and implementation of project management tools and processes.

Applicant must be familiarity with cost and schedule management (development of baseline cost estimates and schedules, comparing actual to plan, making forecasts).

Computer Skills needed include:
High level of experience with Microsoft Excel.
Basic understanding of and comfort with Microsoft office software.
Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera soft\ware a plus.
Able to communicate using E-mail and other internet tools.

Also needed in experience in estimating, monitoring, forecasting, or controlling costs.
